Type a postcode. We read the official food list for 2 miles around it and show the newest places still waiting for their first hygiene visit.
How it works
Three steps, and then it runs by itself.
A new café picks its coffee, bread and veg suppliers around the day it opens. doorlead.shop tells you it's there while that's still being decided.
Type your postcode and how far you deliver
5, 10, 15 or 25 miles. Tick cafés and restaurants, pubs and bars, takeaways, hotels and B&Bs.
It reads the official list of food businesses every day
Every morning we check the Food Standards Agency's list for your circle and note every place we haven't seen before.
Every Monday: each new place near you, with its name and address
Nearest first, with the type of place, the address, the postcode and how many miles away it is.
What you get
A short list you can act on, not a database to dig through.
Monday's email
Every place new to your area that week, nearest first: name, type, address, postcode, miles away and a map link. A quiet week? It says so.
Your list, from the first minute
Type your postcode and see every place near you that's still waiting for its first hygiene visit, newest first. Usually the newest openings.
Tick off where you've called in
Mark each place once you've dropped by with samples, so the list keeps track of your round for you.
A letter to hand in
Tell us a line or two about your business and get a short letter of introduction for any place, to post or leave with your samples.
No cold-email list
doorlead.shop gives names and addresses only: no phone numbers, no email addresses. The official list doesn't have them, and we don't add them. You call in with samples or post a letter, the way the trade has always done it.
It's for businesses, not the public.

Questions
What suppliers ask us.
Where do the new places come from?
From the Food Standards Agency’s public list of food businesses, which every council in the UK feeds. We read it every day and spot records that weren’t there before.
Are they all brand new?
Not always. Many are new openings; others are a new owner taking on an existing café, which is worth a visit too. Each one shows when we first saw it.
How soon will I see a new place?
As soon as its council adds it. Councils update at different speeds, so some places appear before they open and some a few weeks after.
Do I get phone numbers or email addresses?
No. The official list doesn’t have them, and we don’t add them. You get the name, the type of business and the address, so you can call in or post a letter.
Can I choose what kinds of place I see?
Yes. Tick cafés and restaurants, pubs and bars, takeaways, hotels and B&Bs, in any mix.
What if my area is quiet?
Set a wider radius. In a rural area try 25 miles. If nothing new appears in a week, Monday’s email says so.
How much is it?
£24 a month. The first 7 days are free and no card is needed. Cancel at any time. It’s sold to businesses only.
Where it comes from
Every food business in the UK must register with its council at least 28 days before it starts trading. Councils feed those records into the Food Standards Agency’s public list, which anyone may reuse under the Open Government Licence.
A new place shows on that list as waiting for its first hygiene visit, so it can appear before the doors open. Councils update the list at different speeds, and a new place can also be a new owner in an old café.
doorlead.shop isn’t a government service and isn’t connected to the Food Standards Agency. It shows names, types and addresses only, never hygiene ratings. Source: Food Standards Agency open data, Open Government Licence v3.0.
